Are vampires real??

Updated: Nov 5, 2022

Yes, vampirism is very real. It's not just a myth, it's an actual disease people suffer from. Porphyria, a blood disorder that can cause severe blisters on the skin that’s exposed to sunlight, is a disease that may have been linked to the vampire legend. This is not all, the symptoms of this disease can be temporarily relieved by ingesting human blood

Now coming towards the historical or mythical part of vampirism. The first question here would be, what exactly is termed a vampire?? Across thousands of vampire legends, these are a few common traits vampires have that are drinking blood and being extremely sensitive to sunlight, and hunting at night. The next question is probably why we are scared of vampires? The answer is pretty simple- that they feed on blood.

The term Vampires has usually been associated with scary-looking people but in the modern world, normal people consume small amounts of blood to stay healthy. This also means that your close friend or even your neighbor might be one of them. But there is nothing to be scared of because modern vampires do not kill people to feed on their blood. There are many communities of self-identified vampires around the world, these groups conduct their vampire rituals in private so no one is affected.
